Vijay Deverakonda and Satyadev Kancharana’s film ‘Kingdom’, released on Thursday, has done wonders on its very first day!
This Telugu spy action drama collected Rs 15.50 crore in India, while the worldwide earnings reached Rs 39 crore. Wow, what a start!

According to Sacnilk, the film recorded an average of 57.87% Telugu occupancy on Thursday.
63.56% seats were filled in the morning show, 56.52% in the afternoon, 50.12% in the evening and 61.27% in the night show.
That means fans came to the theater to watch the film from morning till night!
Ambitious project with a budget of Rs 130 crore
According to reports, about Rs 130 crore has been spent in making ‘Kingdom’.
With such a big budget, it is important for the film to do good business.
However, in the coming days, there will be tough competition from ‘Dhadak 2’ and ‘Son Of Sardaar 2’.
Interesting story and great cast
The story of ‘Kingdom’ revolves around an undercover police constable who is on a mission to dismantle a powerful syndicate and find his brother.
Apart from Vijay Deverakonda, the film also stars Bhagyashri Borse, Satyadev Kancharana, Koushik Mahata, Keshav Deepak, B.S. Avinash and Satya Deva in important roles.
Amazing talented team
The film is directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, who has also written it.
The producers are Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya, while the music director is superstar Anirudh Ravichander.
Cinematography work is handled by Girish Gangadharan and Jomon T. John.
The journey from VD12 to ‘Kingdom’
The film was announced in January 2023 under the name VD12. Its official title was revealed in February 2025.
Shooting began in June 2023 and was done in various locations like Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Kerala and Sri Lanka.
