Many big actresses were in the race

According to Vidhu Vinod Chopra, many top actresses wanted to audition for ‘Parineeta’.

But director Pradeep Sarkar’s focus was on a new girl from Chembur – Vidya Balan.

Vidhu said, “I usually don’t meet actors in screen tests, but Pradeep said Look at this girl.”

Tiredness, anger and abuse!

Vidya was fed up of giving tests continuously. Just before the final test, she was muttering and abusing – “What does he think he is…”

Vidhu Vinod Chopra was watching all this from a distance. By that time Vidya had given 20-25 tests.

But even in the midst of anger, she gave such a final test that Vidhu said – “Call him immediately.”
