Due to this, ‘Vash 2’ registered a box office opening of Rs 1.15 crore initially, which is a record-breaking one for a Gujarati film.

‘Vash Level 2’ did not disappoint on the third day as well.

It added almost Rs 80 lakh more on Friday, taking the three-day total business to Rs 2.95 crore.

This figure is proof that even small-budget films can break the dominance of big-budget films when both quality and story are present.

Competition with big films

Interestingly, ‘Vash Level 2’ earned more than Hrithik Roshan’s ‘War 2’ (Rs 65 lakh) on its third Friday.

This Gujarati horror is succeeding in pulling the audience to the theatres amidst films like Coolie and Param Sundari.

Hindi dub also a hit

Along with the success of the original Gujarati version, the Hindi dub has also added to its success.

In Hindi, it earned around Rs 1 crore in the first three days and is likely to grow further due to positive word of mouth.

Especially for those audiences, this film was new, but the story captivated everyone.

Upcoming weekend is important

As the weekend is approaching, expectations are rising even more.

If ‘Vash Level 2’ manages to score good numbers on Saturday and Sunday too, then its extended weekend (5 days) collection can cross Rs 4-5 crore.

Challenges and competition

The biggest challenge for the film is its limited release to the North region and direct competition with a big release like Param Sundari.

But the way the film has shown tremendous growth in the first three days, it seems that it can become the second ‘Mahavatara Narasimha’ – that is, one that attracts the Hindi audience as well.

This pace of ‘Vash Level 2’ makes it clear that when the content is strong, the language barrier does not matter.
