This film is a spiritual sequel to the 1997 classic film Border, with Sunny Deol also returning. Besides Varun and Sunny, the film also features Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty in lead roles.

The story will revolve around the 1971 Indo-Pak war and will reiterate the same fervent spirit of patriotism. The film is scheduled to release in theaters on January 23, 2026.

Controversy Surrounding Diljit

However, the film also faced some controversy regarding Diljit Dosanjh, when some people demanded his removal from the film due to his collaboration with a Pakistani actress.

But the producers clarified that more than half of the film had already been shot, and removing Diljit was not possible. Nevertheless, this controversy has not hindered the film’s promotion.
