Bollywood actress Vaani Kapoor is in the news these days after her superhit film ‘Raid 2’.

Now she is soon going to come in front of the audience with her OTT debut ‘Mandala Murders’.

The film will be released on Netflix on July 25, in which Surveen Chawla will also be seen in an important role with her.

However, another film of Vaani ‘Abir Gulaal’ starring Pakistani actor Fawad Khan was banned – on which she has now broken her silence.

“Working in long format is a different experience”

In a conversation with Hindustan Times, Vaani shared her thoughts about ‘Mandala Murders’.

She said, “In films you have only two to three hours in which you have to create the entire arc of the story.

But I was very excited to work in the long format because it helps to explore myself better as an actress.”

“The film was made to spread love”

Expressing her feelings on the ban of ‘Abir Gulaal’, Vaani said, “I don’t think anyone’s intention was to hurt anyone’s feelings.

The film was made to spread love but it only got hatred.” She clarified that the film was shot at a completely different time, when there were no problems.

“We respected the sentiments of the country”

The film was banned after the Pahalgam terror attack in April. Regarding this, Vaani further said, “The makers had taken all the necessary permissions.

But after the attacks, all of us, the team and I, respected and understood the sentiments of the country.”

She stressed that no one violated the law and the sentiments of the country were always kept paramount.

Focus on new project

Despite this controversy, Vaani is now focusing on her upcoming project ‘Mandala Murders’.

This is her first OTT project and she is also a little nervous about it.

More details about the film are yet to be revealed, but fans are eagerly waiting for it.

Vaani’s statement makes it clear that artists sometimes have to face political and social situations along with their work, which are beyond their control.
