Trailer of ‘The Bengal Files’
Filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri released the trailer of ‘The Bengal Files‘ on Saturday, which is filled with the intensity of blood and politics.
If you haven’t seen it yet, then know that it shows the cruelty of Direct Action Day of 1946 along with the present of West Bengal.
First glimpse of the trailer
The trailer begins with an innocent child’s question: “What is your name?”
Then suddenly the color changes and blood-soaked streets, crowds with raised heads at every step, and people with fanatic stubbornness come on the screen.
This scene tells you that this story is not an ordinary film, but a documentary experience based on true events.
The hurt of Direct Action Day
The barbaric massacre that took place on 16 August 1946 is the main focus here.
The trailer also shows a dramatic dialogue between Mahatma Gandhi (Anupam Kher) and Jinnah, which further underlines the political turmoil of the time.
“If Kashmir hurts you…”
A strong tagline appears at the end of the trailer:
“If Kashmir hurts you, Bengal will scare you.”
This is not a cliché, but a warning that the tactics in Bengal will be much more dangerous.
Vivek Agnihotri’s message
At the trailer launch event in Kolkata, Agnihotri said,
“This is not just a film, it is a roar. We will not let Bengal become another Kashmir.”
He chose Kolkata because the authenticity of this story is rooted in the same soil where countless innocent lives were lost.
Mithun Chakraborty’s reaction
At the same time, Mithun Chakraborty said,
“‘The Bengal Files’ has everything that the audience would have never imagined. You will change after watching it.”
Mithun’s role has always kept him connected to the audience, and this time too he will not leave you.
Starcast and Release Date
The film stars famous faces like Mithun Chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi, Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumar.
This is the third part of Agnihotri’s ‘Files’ trilogy – ‘The Kashmir Files’ and ‘The Tashkent Files’ have already been released.
‘The Bengal Files’ will hit the theatres on 5 September 2025.
The stir created by this trailer clearly shows that this film is not just entertainment, but a living document of history. If you are fond of political thrillers or want to know the truth related to history, then do not ignore Bengal Files this time.
