NDA Demand: Why hide the secret?

Priya Sachdev Kapur suddenly filed a petition in the Delhi High Court demanding that everyone sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before revealing the full list of Sunjay Kapur‘s assets.

She argued that disclosing details without a confidentiality agreement would violate her privacy. The court will hear the petition on Thursday.

Court Order Challenged

On September 10, the High Court ordered Priya to diligently submit a list of all of Sunjay’s movable and immovable assets by June 12.

June 12 was the day Sunjay passed away. This order forced Priya to set some safeguards before revealing the assets.

30,000 Crore Contest

After Sunjay Kapur’s sudden death, his 30,000 crore rupees worth of loyal gloves fell to the floor.

This battle involves his children, Samaira and Kiaan, from his first wife, Karisma Kapoor, and his current wido, Priya Sachdev Kapur.

All three are running to court to claim their share.

Questions about the will: Forged or genuine?

Sanjay’s children took the matter to the extreme when they called the will presented by Priya “forged and fabricated.”

They allege that the will excluded them from their rightful inheritance.

They claim that Sanjay had already inadvertently included their names in the family trust.

Priya’s response: Reference to ₹1,900 crore

Priya clarified in court that the will is completely genuine.

She explained that the children had already withdrawn ₹1,900 crore from the family trust into their accounts before filing a lawsuit against the will.

This means, according to Priya, that transparency is being maintained in the division of assets.

Grandmother Rani’s pain: “I didn’t get anything”

Sanjay’s mother, Rani Kapur, also jumped into the controversy.

She says Priya left Sanjay nothing—she sold all his assets.

Rani is petitioning to be given her due; otherwise, the family elders’ justice will be lost.

Death Mystery: Bee Sting or Heart Attack?

Sanjay, 52, collapsed while playing polo in England in June this year.

Initially, reports suggested a bee sting was the cause of his death, while some said it was an allergic reaction.

But the Surrey Coroner clarified that the real cause was a heart attack—left ventricular hypertrophy and ischemic heart disease had caused his heart to stop beating.

With no heirs, these lawsuits over the ₹30,000 crore estate are now further deepening the rift within the family.

The demand for an NDA, allegations and counter-allegations regarding the will, and the mystery surrounding the death have turned this case into a suspenseful thriller.
