Tanushree Dutta’s reply to trolls
Have you also seen Tanushree Dutta‘s video in which she is seen eating mutton in Shravan?
Amidst the uproar on social media, the actress has spoken openly about her eating habits. Let’s know what is the whole matter!
Bengali customs and a unique way of fasting
Tanushree told in her video that fasting in Bengal means staying only on water till evening.
After sunset, the offering made to the goddess is eaten, which can also include goat meat.
“Different cultures are different; there should be no judgment on this,” she said while replying to a troll.
“Religious people have come with their negative thinking”
When a user commented sarcastically – “Shravan….. fast….. mutton… fat….. #Respect”, Tanushree immediately retaliated.
“Watch the full video, then come to comment. Here comes the religious people with their negative attitude,” she wrote. Well said, right?
Connection between Ayurveda and mental health
In her video, Tanushree emphasised the connection between food and mental health.
She believes that “food is medicine” and good nutrition helps deal with emotional ups and downs.
“Fasting gives mental strength, and then when I break the fast, I take high protein and nutritious food, so that the body also remains top performing,” she wrote in her caption.
Silenced trolls by giving an example of Nepal
When another user called her a hypocrite, Tanushree replied by giving the example of Nepal.
“This diet is widely followed in Nepal, where Pashupatinath is worshipped in every household.
No one can defeat me in an argument on Sanatan Dharma.
My knowledge and experience are not only vast but also understanding the cultures of the entire India and are factual.” ## Religious practices as per individual needs
Tanushree believes that religious fasts should not be rigid. Every individual can adapt them as per their physical needs.
“I observe Shravan fast till 7 pm, then cook high-nutrition black dal, mutton and rice for dinner. This method works best for me.”
Combining tradition and modernity
This video of Tanushree Dutta shows the effort to strike a balance between tradition and personal well-being in today’s times.
She is clear about her choice – to respect tradition while also prioritising her health.
