The concept of the show was lovely, the money was good, but most importantly, as a new mother, I could manage it.”
“Great roles are hard to come by without a background”
Speaking about her acting career, Swira admitted that it’s not always easy for outsiders to find the best roles.
She said, “Actors can only choose from the offers they receive. Without big connections, sometimes the offers aren’t very good. But I’ve always chosen work I’m proud of.”
“I paid the price for speaking out, but I have no regrets”
From “Nil Battey Sannata” to “Veere Di Wedding,” Swira has always taken risks. She says that many people don’t like confident women. “My outspokenness has cost me.
Some people don’t want to cast me in their films because I’m ‘controversial.’ But I have no regrets. Everything I say comes from my principles.”
“Does it create problems for husband Fahad?”
Swira also spoke openly about her marriage to politician Fahad Ahmed. She admits that her public image sometimes poses challenges for her husband.
She laughed and said, “It’s probably more difficult for Fahadh. After all, it’s not easy for a politician’s wife to make so much noise!”
But despite all this, Swira seems very happy with her personal life. She said, “My experience has been the opposite of all stereotypes.
Fahadh and his family have given me so much love and understanding, I consider myself lucky.”
