After weeks of speculation, Sonal Chauhan has finally confirmed that she is joining Mirzapur: The Film.
The actress, who rose to fame with the film “Jannat,” shared the good news on Instagram in a heartwarming post.

The photos Sonal shared showed an attractive gift hamper and a welcome note.
The note read, “Dear Sonal, we’re delighted to have you on board. We look forward to the magic you bring to the screen.”
In her caption, Sonal wrote that she was extremely excited to be a part of this “incredible and game-changing” journey.
The Journey from Web Series to Cinema
Mirzapur captured the hearts of audiences over three seasons. Starring Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Divyenndu, and Shweta Tripathi, the series’s realistic story made it a cultural phenomenon.
Now, director Gurmeet Singh is bringing it to the big screen, marking the first time in India that a web series will be adapted directly into a film.
Which stars are included?
The original Mirzapur star cast returns in the film: Pankaj Tripathi as Kaleen Bhaiya, Ali Fazal as Guddu, and Divyenndu as Munna Bhaiya.
Except for Vikrant Massey, all the main cast members are back, with new additions including Jitendra Kumar, Ravi Kishan, and Mohit Malik.
Released in 2026
Produced by Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment, the film will release theatrically in 2026, followed by an OTT release.
