Sanjay Dutt assured strength, prayers and all possible help to Punjab flood victims.

Punjab floods wreak havoc
After the devastation in Uttarakhand and Jammu, the rainwater has now targeted Punjab.
According to reports, more than 61,000 hectares of agricultural land are submerged and 1,312 villages, especially in Gurdaspur, are bearing the brunt of the floods.
Residents in nine districts – Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Fazilka, Kaputhala, Tarn Taran, Ferozepur, Moga, Hoshiarpur and Barnala – are facing great difficulty.
Dil ne pukaara: Sanjay Dutt’s message
Bollywood veteran Sanjay Dutt expressed concern over the disaster and wrote on Twitter (formerly Twitter), “The devastation caused by the floods in Punjab is truly heartbreaking.
Sending strength and prayers to everyone impacted. I will support in every way I can.
May Babaji bless and protect all in Punjab.”
His words remind us of his familial connection with Punjab, where his ancestors have had deep ties.
Emotional support on social media
Sanjay Dutt’s kind message started trending as soon as it was posted.
A user wrote, “Thanks for your kind words and concern for Punjab; it means a lot. Punjab is and will always be in Chardi Kala.
We will rise again.” Someone said, “The son is keeping the great legacy of his father, Sunil Dutt Sahib, alive!”
Such reactions show how deep the respect is for the Dutt family.
Relief and rescue review
Police and relief agencies have come together. Teams of NDRF, Army and BSF have so far evacuated 11,330 people to safer areas.
Red alert is in place as more rain is expected in the hilly areas, which may cause the Ravi, Beas and Sutlej rivers to cross the danger mark.
Hope in the relief camps
87 relief camps have been set up, of which 77 are currently active and about 4,700 people are getting basic facilities like food, water and treatment.
The administration has assured that every displaced person will get proper care.
The way forward
The weather department has warned that intermittent rains will continue, so the rescue work is not over yet.
People living in areas along the river have been advised to remain alert.
Our responsibility
In this crisis, only government help will not be enough. What is needed is collective sensitivity and helping hands.
You can help with money, ration water or moments. Only when we work together, Punjab will be green and prosperous again.
Sanjay Dutt’s support in this flood crisis reminds us that there is no greater religion than humanity in difficult times.
