Almost 25 years after the release of the film, co-star Smita Jaykar finally revealed what was actually going on between the two during the shooting.
“During the shooting of this movie, both of them fell in love,” Smita told Film Mantra in an interview.
“True love was visible in their eyes. Whenever they were together, romance shone on their faces.”

Smita also spoke openly about Salman. “She was very naughty, but true at heart and very caring too.
We never saw her angry on the set, even if people spread rumors.”
