Saiyami Kher shares interesting moments spent with Akshay-Saif during the shooting of Priyadarshan’s Haiwaan.

Saiyami Kher’s film journey ends in a mourning phase
The innocent child who used to look at the screen in a small theatre is now standing on the set of the same big screen.
Saiyami Kher has started shooting for Priyadarshan’s upcoming film Haiwaan with Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan.
Far from Mumbai, her childhood dream started coming true as the camera rolled in the picturesque locations of Kochi.
Close to the big screen since childhood
“Sitting in the audience, Akshay sir’s action and Saif sir’s comedy touched my heart,” Saiyami recalls.
Those were the days when her love for cinema was lit up by watching the film.
She never thought that the time would come when she would hear those same faces say ‘Action!’.
Now the same atmosphere comes in front of her in every shot—a dreamlike feeling that is just going on.
First day of Kochi
With the first clap, Saiyami’s eyes were shining.
- Morning prep with make-up amid the sea breeze
- Rehearsing her lines in front of the cameraman
- Akshay and Saif’s glances and advice on set
These little moments shook her. “At every turn here, I tell myself, ‘Yaar, this is my reality coming true.'”
Priyadarshan: Not a director, but a storyteller
For Saiyami, Priyan sir is not just a director, but a guru who lives the story that got her into films.
“His films got me into this hobby,” she says. Under his guidance, while shooting every scene, we can feel the depth of each frame.
Working with Priyadarshan today is like a circle coming full circle—childhood memories and today’s achievement are coming together.
Akshay-Saif reunion after 17 years
Haiwaan* sees Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan sharing the screen together again, for the first time since 2008’s Tashan.
Their chemistry proved decades ago that they have a great bond in both comedy and drama.
Now that the two superstars are together, the audience is curious to see how Priyan sir’s new formula will shine on screen.
Inspiration from Oppam
In the story of Haiwaan, Priyadarshan has taken the texture from his 2016 Malayalam film Oppam.
- The delicate security of a retired judge
- The brave fight of a visually impaired hero
- Thrill and emotion bound till the end
This mixture will be seen emerging with a modern touch in Haiwaan, where the entire starcast, including Saiyam, has prepared strong performances.
Every moment of Saiyami Kher in this film is a reflection of the confidence, freshness and the infinite joy that she used to see on screens in her childhood.
This joyous echo rising from the sets of Haiwaan is soon coming to rock the big screen.
