Raveena Tandon, Vir Das, Rupali Ganguly praised the stray dogs Order, appealed for vaccination and sterilization

New decision of Supreme Court
Supreme Court has taken a new turn regarding stray dogs of Delhi-NCR.
In the first order, it was said that all the dogs should be caught and locked in special shelters.
But the protesters raised their voice, “This is not humanity!” And now SC has modified its verdict—it has ordered to sterilize, vaccinate, deworm the dogs and then release them back in their area.
Rabid or aggressive dogs will not be included in this.
Thanks to Raveena
Raveena Tandon wrote on Instagram Stories, “Dogesh bhai! You move ahead! We are with you!”
This simple Hindi line says that our beloved strays should also be cared for.
He thanked the SC and especially appealed to sincerely implement vaccination and sterilisation programmes.
Vir Das’s Hope
Vir Das said on X (formerly Twitter),
“Thank you Supreme Court for supporting sterilisation, vaccination and a safe return of our community dogs to their neighbourhood.
Hopefully the municipality speeds up dedicated feeding areas and collaborates with trainers and behaviourists.”
His point is absolutely correct—what is the use of just making rules when there is no execution.
Only with dedicated feeding spots and behaviour modification trainers will we be able to make these animals a part of the community.
Thank you to the Supreme Court of India for supporting the process of sterilisation, vaccination and a safe return of our community dogs to their neighbourhood. Hopefully the municipality can be speedy about creating dedicated feeding areas and also rely on multiple dog trainers…

Salute from Rupali
TV actress Rupali Ganguly also gave her vote of confidence:
“A big win for compassion! Grateful to the Hon’ble Supreme Court for modifying its order, allowing sterilisation & release of stray dogs in Delhi.
This step not only safeguards people from rabies & overpopulation risks but also lets our voiceless companions live with dignity.”
Their phrase “compassion & safety walk hand in hand” touched my heart. What a thing it is when humanity and awareness go together!
Protests in full swing
When the first order came on August 11, there were protests in NCR in favor of street dogs.
Animal lovers, NGOs, common people—everyone stood together.
“Dogs are also our responsibility,” his enthusiasm grew so much that SC had to promptly rethink.
Way forward
Now that SC has given a new roadmap, the real challenge is implementation.
Local authorities will have to keep both funds and manpower ready.
Schedule vaccination drives, set up mobile camps, engage community volunteers.
Sometimes a small decision makes a big difference—a difference that will not only protect dogs but also create a safe environment for the common man.
The role of every dog lover, resident and authority is critical in this journey.
Because when we will be wagging our tails in the streets of Delhi, only then we will be able to say—Mission Compassion was successful!
