Rakul Preet’s First festival as a new bride
Bollywood actress Rakul Preet Singh celebrated her first Kajri Teej after marriage with great enthusiasm.
Celebrating this special occasion with her mother-in-law Puja Bhagnani and husband, Jackky Bhagnani, Rakul shared many lovely pictures with her fans.
Dressed in a beautiful red salwar kameez, Rakul wrote on Instagram, “Happy Teej to all of you celebrating…
This was my first time celebrating this festival with my mother-in-law and what a lovely experience it was… Slide to see the face waiting for the moon, the wait is absolutely real!”
Kajri Teej: Tradition and significance
Kajri Teej is celebrated exclusively by married women.
On this day, women offer Solah Shringar to Maa Parvati and pray for marital happiness, prosperity and good fortune.
On this festival, there is a tradition of fasting till the moon rises, after which the festival is celebrated by performing puja, meeting with family and wearing traditional attire.
Lockdown to marriage
Rakul and Jackky’s love story started during the COVID-19 lockdown.
The funny thing is that they were neighbors for years, but the love was felt only in the lockdown!
The two got married on February 21, 2024 in Goa. This intimate ceremony saw a beautiful mix of Sikh and Sindhi traditions.
Close family and industry friends attended this wedding.
What’s special on the film front?
Rakul will soon return to the film world as Ayesha Khurana in ‘De De Pyar De 2’.
In this sequel, Ajay Devgn will be seen as Ashish Mehra and R. Madhavan as Dev Khurana.
Directed by Anshul Sharma, the film also features Tabu, Jimmy Shergill, Alok Nath, Inayat Sood along with Tamannaah Bhatia and Prakash Raj in cameo roles.
The film is scheduled to release on November 14, 2025.
