Pratik Gandhi told how Tom Felton became his first friend in England.

Friendship of two cultures at TIFF
The world premiere of the ‘Gandhi’ series created history at the Toronto International Film Festival.
Pratik Gandhi, Hansal Mehta, Bhamini Oza, Kabir Bedi and Harry Potter star Tom Felton walked the red carpet.
On the same stage, Tom called Pratik “brother in arms”, which brought the special bonding between the two in front of everyone.
First friendship in England
Pratik نے commented on Tom Felton’s post on Instagram, “Cheers to my first friend in England, the innocent, emotional and funny @t22felton.
Can’t wait to have you in India.” Tom نے expressed his happiness by calling Pratik کو اپنا “brother”.
The sweetness of true intimacy hidden in this language transformed the two into an unbreakable relationship beyond the silver screen.
AR Rahman Ki Masti
Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman also shared a selfie with Tom on Instagram, writing a text overlay—“With Draco”—and sweet comments started pouring in as soon as Felton, also known as Draco Malfoy, caught a glimpse.
Rahman revealed in the caption that Tom is also an important part of the tunes of ‘Gandhi’ among his tunes.
Three-season plan for ‘Gandhi’
The ‘Gandhi’ series is based on Ramachandra Guha’s books—‘Gandhi Before India’ and ‘Gandhi: The Years That Changed the World’.
The first season covers the journey from 1888 to 1915: from an anxious teenager to a shy law student in London and then as a new lawyer in South Africa.
Shooting wrapped up in London, South Africa and India in August 2024, and now the epic three-season outline awaits the audience.
Professional rapport more than friendship
The chemistry between the two backstage showed that not just the on-screen hero and his stunt double, but the co-actors also keep learning and teaching throughout their lives.
Pratik praised Tom’s unique style, innocence and emotion, while Tom described Pratik as unmatched in dedication and professionalism.
Waiting to be welcomed in India
Pratik’s excitement is evident when he writes, “Can’t wait to have you in India.”
This wait will not only decide the hospitality of a foreign friend, but also the privilege of watching a historical series together.
The friendship of two young actors in the story of ‘Gandhi’ is as important as Mahatma Gandhi’s first war.
Beyond the glitz and glamour of TIFF, this bond showed that when art, history and friendship meet, the magic cannot be stopped.
