Why did Prajakta Koli cancel her Nepal trip after seeing the violent protests in Nepal?

Heartbroken after seeing Nepal
Actor and YouTuber Prajakta Koli, known as MostlySane, cancelled her Nepal trip as a precaution.
Her heart was filled after seeing the pictures of violent protests and public outrage across the country.
She wrote on Instagram Stories, “What happened in Nepal yesterday was really heartbreaking.
Celebrating at such a time feels completely pointless.”
‘Celebration Feels Inappropriate’
Prajakta clearly said that it does not feel right to hold an event or have fun amidst protests and police action.
She believes that when people are seen paying the price of their lives, there is no mood left for celebration.
She wrote, “My heart aches for the families who suffered.
I was eagerly waiting to meet you all, but the time is not right now.”
Manisha Koirala’s voice
Veteran actress Manisha Koirala, who is a native of Nepal, also strongly condemned this violence.
She posted a picture of a bloody shoe on social media and wrote, “Today is a dark day for Nepal.
When bullets are fired in the voice of the people, what is the justification for violence against the demand for justice?”
Her words awakened the country’s sentiments.
What happened in Nepal?
According to a report, at least 19 people have died.
This protest erupted when the Nepal government shut down Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, YouTube, Reddit and X and ordered all users to register with the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology.
Taking to the streets, Gen Z said, “If our voice is suppressed, we will not sit silent.” This outrage finally forced PM KP Sharma Oli to resign.
Modi’s message
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote on Twitter (earlier Twitter) that “The violence in Nepal is really shocking.
Many lives have been lost; this is a matter of sadness for us, too.”
He appealed for support for the peace and prosperity of Nepal and said, “Brothers and sisters, please maintain peace.”
Next step
Prajakta Koli clarified that as soon as the situation improves, she will come to Nepal and meet her fans.
Her response showed that celebrities are not limited to glamour, but when there is a social crisis, they also have sensitivity.
Fans are now waiting for MostlySane to return soon and give the message of holding on to the hearts of Nepal.
