Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s film “Thamma” will be one his children can watch.

A departure from serious roles
Nawazuddin Siddiqui has captivated audiences with his intense roles in films like “Gangs of Wasseypur” and “Sacred Games.”
But now he’s taken a lighter turn in his career.
He stars alongside Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna in the horror-comedy “Thamma.”
A special film for children
The highlight of this film isn’t just the genre change.
Nawazuddin revealed that this is the first film his children, Shora and Yaani Asli, will be able to watch!
He laughs, “I’m also happy about ‘Thamma’ because my other films have been either dark or intense, which children can’t watch.”
Daughter’s Straight Talk
Nawaz says about his daughter Shora, who studies in Dubai, “She’s always straight to me.
She doesn’t care that her father is a big actor. She can criticize me in two minutes. She keeps me grounded.”
What does Thamma show?
The film’s teaser, released on August 19, 2025, showcases a mix of romance, mystery, and turmoil.
Ayushmann and Rashmika are shown in love, but Nawazuddin’s scary entry changes everything. The film is full of both humor and suspense.
Character Highlights
Ayushmann’s character Alok is described as “humanity’s last hope,” while Rashmika’s character Tadka is “the first ray of light.”
The film will release on October 21, and Nawaz’s fans will get to see a new avatar of him.
