How did Kunal Kemmu fight the thief?

News of sudden house thefts and robberies has become common in Mumbai, but Soha Ali Khan and Kunal Kemmu’s recent experience surprised everyone.

Soha told in an interview how Kunal stopped a thief who entered the house despite his broken hand.

Breaking the silence in the middle of the night

“It was four in the morning, we were sleeping, suddenly some noises came,” Soha recalled.

At first, they thought that noises happened every day in Mumbai, but then Kunal showed courage and turned around in the room.

Kunal’s energy

Despite getting injured from falling on his hand during the shooting, Kunal immediately pulled the curtain and saw a man standing with a handkerchief tied on his face.

Soha says, “Kunal kicked him and made him fall to the balcony.”

Condition of the intruder

The thief could not get down quickly and fell on the ground after hitting the roof. Kunal came inside and said, “I think he’s dead.”

Actually, the thief was more injured, but couldn’t move. He stayed put until the police arrived.

Calling the police

Soha frantically dialled the police number. “I was shivering; it was hard to remember the number,” she said.

The police arrived on the scene in a short while and arrested the thief, and praised Kunal for his bravery.

Safety tips

Soha reminisced about her childhood in Delhi, where it used to be so dark that alleys and dargahs used to look deserted. She advised everyone:

• Don’t go out alone at night
• Keep all windows and balconies locked
• Install motion-sensing lights near the door

Saif Ali Khan’s case also came to mind

A few months ago, a thief had also entered Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor’s Bandra house.

At that time, Saif himself fought with the thief, but he received several stab wounds.

After the treatment, he said that now the security of the house will be tightened.
