Misunderstanding or a trick?

Hey brother! Social media is in a storm – Kartik Aaryan is going to perform at an event organized by Pakistani organizers?

But the truth turned out to be something else! What is the whole matter, let’s know.

FWICE issued notice

The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) issued a notice to Kartik, advising him to withdraw from the “Azadi Utsav – The Indian Independence Day” event to be held on August 15 in Houston.

The event is being organized by Aga’s Restaurant & Catering, an establishment owned by a Pakistani.

Furthermore, these organizers are also promoting Pakistan’s Independence Day celebrations.

Kartik’s team’s response

Kartik’s team was quick to clarify that “they are not associated with the event in any way” and that they never announced their participation.

They have asked the organizers to remove all promotional material carrying their name and picture.

What is the whole matter?

The Azadi Utsav is being promoted as India’s Independence Day, but it is being hosted by a business that is also organising “Jashn-e-Azadi” for Pakistan’s Independence Day.

FWICE’s directive comes from the guidelines issued after the Pulwama attack, which discouraged association with Pakistani artistes, technicians or organisers to maintain national spirit and industry unity.

Kartik’s upcoming projects

Amid this controversy, Kartik is focusing on his work.

He will be seen in Anurag Basu’s untitled romantic drama (alongside Srileela) and Karan Johar’s home production “Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri”.

Fans are eagerly waiting for these releases after “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3”.

Sensitivity of cross-border relations

The incident highlights the sensitivity surrounding cross-border collaborations in Bollywood.

Several other Indian actors have faced similar controversies. After all, striking a balance between entertainment and national sentiments has always been a delicate issue.

Summary:

Kartik Aaryan denies being associated with Pakistani organised “Azadi Utsav”. FWICE had issued a notice. Kartik’s team said that he is not associated with it and asked to remove the promotional material.
