For several years, Bollywood’s rumor mill was working overtime, suggesting that Ajay Devgn was secretly jealous of his wife Kajol‘s amazing on-screen chemistry with Shah Rukh Khan.

While both men were keeping mum on this gossip, Kajol finally decided that the truth should be revealed.

“Bas Respect Hai Unke Beech”

In a refreshingly candid conversation with Times Now, she’s revealed what actually is the scene between her husband and the famous co-star.

“Nothing at all, they were pretty much rumours. Genuinely, nothing happened,” she said directly.

She painted a realistic picture of their relationship: “They weren’t like, ‘Oh buddy, let’s share a beer,’ but today they genuinely respect each other.”

No fake friendship, no hidden tension—just professional respect.

Beyond the “Camp System”

When asked about Bollywood’s notorious camp culture, Kajol dismissed it. “I don’t know if there are camps anymore,” she thought.

According to her, what people considered “camps” were simply comfort levels between people they had worked with before.

“I had no camp, I worked with everyone. I never understood the camp system,” she added, highlighting her own way of working across industry divisions.

Marriage is built on mutual respect

Perhaps the most revealing part of the interview was Kajol’s insight into her marriage to Ajay.

They have found a balance that works—one built on respecting each other’s individuality.

“There is no awkwardness, it’s just a boundary. As people, we are individuals. I like certain things, he doesn’t like certain things and vice versa,” he explained.

His approach is refreshingly straightforward: “We both decided that it’s fine.

As long as I don’t have to sit and do anything, I’m fine, you go, make your friends and do whatever you want.”
