Dinosaurs shut down everything on Day One
Prehistoric animals are back and are challenging the competition!
Jurassic World Rebirth was released in Indian theatres on 4 July and immediately started ruling the box office.
By 9:05 pm, the film had already done a business of ₹9.03 crore, which is well within the predicted range of ₹8.50-9.50 crore.
Nostalgia factor attracted the crowds
Why did it get such a tremendous opening? This franchise has kept people captivated in its magic since the release of the first Jurassic Park in June 1993. It’s been 33 years!
After three years of Jurassic World Dominion, fans were craving for more dinosaur action.
Star power gave extra punch
Marvel’s Black Widow i.e. Scarlett Johansson, is the lead of this film, who gives serious star power to the dinosaur adventure.
Along with her are heavyweight talents Mahershala Ali, Rupert Friend, and Jonathan Bailey.
Behind the camera is director Gareth Edwards, who is known for monster hits like Godzilla, Rogue One, and The Creator.

Indian films are in a bad state
Dinosaur invasion has completely overshadowed the desi releases.
Neither Sitaare Zameen Par, nor F1, nor Maa, nor Kannappa, none of them came close to Rebirth’s numbers.
Even Metro, which released on the same day, lagged behind. None of these films have even crossed the ₹2 crore mark yet.
Monster Box Office with Monster Budget
The scale of the film is exactly in line with its ambitions.
With a reported budget of $500 million (more than ₹4,200 crore), it is truly a cinematic behemoth.
Investment seems to be recovering at least in the Indian market, where nostalgia for the franchise is very deep.
The initial figures are still preliminary and may change when the final data comes in, but one thing is clear – the dinosaurs have once again become the kings of the box office jungle!
