Initial expectations and reality

Before the release of ‘Dhadak 2‘, there was a lot of excitement among the fans.

On Saturday, there was a slight increase to Rs 3.75 crore and on Sunday, the collection was Rs 4.15 crore.

The total earnings of 11.40 crore in the weekend were good, but did not live up to expectations.

Decline in the weekday

By Monday, there was a huge decline in the earnings of the film.

On the fourth day, there was a business of only 1.35 crore and on the fifth day, Rs 1.60 crore.

In this way, the total earnings of the film in five days could reach only Rs 14.35 crore.

Flop tag

Even after the fifth day, the film could not cross the 15 crore mark, due to which trade experts started calling it a flop.

This earning is very less in front of the budget of 45 crores, and now the chances of the film becoming a hit are almost over.

Effect of tough competition

A big reason for the weak performance of ‘Dhadak 2’ is the tough competition it is getting at the box office.

Films like ‘Saiyaara’, ‘Son of Sardar 2’ and ‘Mahavatar Narasimha’ are also running in theaters at the same time, due to which there is a division among the audience.

Now the question is, will there be any change in the fate of ‘Dhadak 2’ in the coming days?

Due to the word of mouth not being good, such hope is low. The film will now have to try its luck on OTT platforms.
