Deepika Padukone is one of Bollywood’s biggest stars today, but her journey hasn’t been easy.

During a recent talk at a Global Leadership Summit, Deepika shared an interesting anecdote from her early days.

“Your voice is weird!”

Deepika revealed that when she was new to the industry, people made fun of her voice and accent.

Today, that same voice has become the official voice of the world-renowned company Meta AI.

Deepika said, “It feels strange… People used to laugh at my voice, and now I’m the voice of AI. But I’ve never tried to change my identity.”

Even AI can’t touch the human heart

Deepika is excited to be associated with Meta AI, but she believes that no matter how advanced AI becomes, it can’t imitate human emotions.

She said, “AI cannot replace human emotions. The way an actor brings life to their character cannot be instilled in AI.”

Fought her battles quietly

Deepika also expressed her opinion on pay parity. She explained that she has always fought her battles quietly and in her own way.

Sometimes these issues have become public, even though she didn’t want them to.

She said, “I have always fought for my rights with dignity. Without making a fuss.”

What’s next?

Now, Deepika’s eyes are on her next film, “King,” in which she will be seen alongside Shah Rukh Khan. The film is scheduled to release in 2026.
