Shruti Haasan, who starred in ‘Coolie’, recently shared her practical view on this high-profile clash.
Speaking to Zoom, she said, “This has happened many times, even during my career.
Films have the option of choosing certain slots. ‘Salaar’ also released with ‘Dunky’.”

The actress offers a refreshingly realistic perspective: “Nothing can be done about it.
Filmmakers have to choose a particular period for their film. There is a time when people want to watch an actor’s film, be it ‘Coolie’ or ‘War 2’. That’s the way business works.”

Trade analysts predict that while ‘Coolie’ will rule the Tamil market, ‘War 2’ will dominate the Hindi and Telugu circuits, primarily due to Jr NTR’s massive fan base in these regions.

Sharing details about her film, Shruti said, “All Lokesh’s films have a common thread.
They have action and high-octane scenes, but there is also an emotional core underneath.
What makes ‘Coolie’ different is its sheer scale.”
Star-studded projects
Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, ‘Coolie’ has an impressive ensemble cast that includes Rajinikanth, Shruti Haasan, Nagarjuna, Upendra, Sathyaraj and Soubin Shahir.
Adding to the excitement, Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan will be seen in a special cameo.
The story revolves around Deva (Rajinikanth), a former crime lord who finds a mysterious way to reconnect with his old team through stolen high-tech vintage golden watches.
Meanwhile, ‘War 2’ directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Yash Raj Films stars Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR and Kiara Advani in the lead roles.
As per recent reports, Hrithik’s character Kabir turns rebellious and becomes “Bharat ka sabse badnaam,” whom Jr NTR’s character is sent to control.
Both the blockbuster films will hit the theatres on August 14, making the Independence Day weekend a memorable one for movie lovers.
