Brad Pitt’s film became a hit
Brad Pitt’s new film F1 has taken the theatres by storm! This racing drama, released on 27th July, had a great start across the world.
Real Formula One racers are also seen in this film by Top Gun: Maverick director Joseph Kosinski, which has made the film even more exciting.
This is how the earnings were in India
According to Saconil, F1, made with the support of Lewis Hamilton and Jerry Bruckheimer, had a good start in India.
On the first day, the film earned Rs 5.5 crore in all languages.
In this, the English version did the highest business of Rs 5 crore, while the contribution of Hindi, Tamil and Telugu versions was less.
Speed increased further on the second day
On Saturday, the film’s earnings saw a good jump and it reached 8.5 crores. This made the total earnings 14 crores.
The interesting thing is that the film was the biggest hit in metro cities.
Chennai topped with 62% occupancy, Hyderabad with 54% and Bengaluru with 48% occupancy.
Cold response from the Hindi audience
However, the Hindi version did not get much love from the audience.
Its performance was average, with just 10.6% occupancy.
The film also got 19% occupancy in Tamil areas, which is not much.
Breaks records abroad
According to Deadline, the film’s foreign earnings are going to reach 80-85 million dollars (about 668-710 crores rupees) by Sunday.
This will leave Brad Pitt’s previous big hits like World War Z (616 crores) and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (539 crores) behind.

Global earnings estimate
If the US figures are added, the film can earn a total of 140 million dollars (1,169 crores + rupees) over the weekend.
It has already become one of Apple’s highest-grossing original films.
Made a splash in China, too
The film has done business of about $6 million (Rs 50 crore) in China till Saturday.
The Friday collection there was the biggest first day ever for an Apple film. It is also Brad Pitt’s best opening in China.
Huge earnings in America, too
F1 opened with $25 million (Rs 208 crore) in the US on Friday. This also includes $2.8 million (Rs 23 crore) from earlier special screenings.
The film surpassed Killers of the Flower Moon, which earned $23.2 million (Rs 193 crore) in its first weekend.
Big success for Apple
This is Apple’s biggest theatrical release ever.
The film has also set the record for the biggest first day for an Apple title in Mexico and Australia.
