Avneet Kaur shares her truly untold experience of meeting Tom Cruise on MI8 sets and the London screening.
First time on the sets of MI8
This year, Avneet Kaur had an experience that she herself could not have imagined.
Her heart started pounding as soon as she met Tom Cruise for the first time on the sets of Mission Impossible 8.
She says, “When I reached, he already knew about my Cannes look.”
Hearing this, Avneet herself was surprised—how a Hollywood icon had read about the Indian Film Festival!
Second encounter at London screening
As excited as she was after the first meeting, when Avneet saw Tom Cruise the second time at the screening of the film in London, words fell short.
This time, they could not talk much, but the feeling remained unspoken.
Avneet says, “I will never forget how special that moment was for me.
It was truly a ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ experience.”

In the photo shared by Avneet on Instagram, both of them were looking great in black outfits.
In one picture, the two of them exchanged a namaste with folded hands—and the caption read:
“Namaste mere aur Mr Cruise ki taraf se poore India ko 🇮🇳🙏🏻❤️ Great to see you again @tomcruise 😍 @missionimpossible”
The simple post won the hearts of not just her fans but also the people of Hollywood..

Meeting twice, talking or posing—most of it was priceless for Avneet. She admits she won’t get this opportunity again.

Now that her dream of meeting Tom Cruise is over, Avneet’s real-life romance is all set to begin with Love In Vietnam.
Directed by Rahat Shah Kazmi, the film co-stars Shantanu Maheshwari.
The story is almost similar to Sabahattin Ali’s novel “Madonna in a Fur Coat”—childhood love, then the pain of distance, and cross-cultural romance.
The film is releasing on September 12 and this story, made under Omung Kumar’s banner, shows a journey from Punjab to Vietnam.
While on one hand, there is the feeling of betrayal and heartbreak, on the other hand, there is also the passion of two souls to keep finding each other.
This journey of Avneet tells us to keep dreaming, because sometimes life makes them real and presents them in front of you.
