The Patiala District Court has issued summons to Armaan and his two wives, Payal and Kritika Malik, in two separate cases.
All three will have to appear in court on September 2.

A man named Davinder Rajput has filed a petition, claiming that Armaan has not just two but four marriages.
The petition states that this is a violation of the Hindu Marriage Act, which allows only one spouse at a time for Hindus.
Kali Mata controversy
In the same petition, Armaan and Payal have also been accused of hurting religious sentiments.
In a video shared on Instagram, Payal took the form of the Hindu goddess Kali, after which there was an uproar on social media.
The petitioner says that this act was an insult to religious faith and is punishable under Indian law.

After the controversy, Armaan and Payal publicly apologized.
On July 22, the couple went to the Kali Mata temple in Patiala and prayed and apologized.
The next day, they were seen at another Kali temple in Kharar, Mohali, where Payal reportedly did a week of religious atonement, which included cleaning the temple and rituals.
Payal was admitted to the hospital
After this, both of them went to Haridwar and apologized to Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Kailashanand Giri of Niranjani Akhara.
During this time, Payal’s health deteriorated and she was admitted to a hospital in Mohali.

Born as Sandeep in Hisar, Haryana, Armaan first worked in a private bank, then went to Delhi and stepped into content creation.
