In Akash Goyal’s new psychological thriller ‘Resident,’ Akshay will play a character that takes audiences into the dark recesses of the human mind.

Journey from America to Mumbai
Akshay’s journey has been quite interesting. Born in New Jersey, Akshay studied theater at Johns Hopkins University and received acting training at the Stella Adler Studio in New York. After returning to India, he began working at Prithvi Theatre.
His film debut was with Sooraj Barjatya’s “Isi Life Mein.” Although the film didn’t do well, Akshay’s performance was highly praised.

Akshay Oberoi is Suresh Oberoi’s nephew and Vivek Oberoi’s cousin. In 2011, he married his school friend, Jyoti Vinayaiah, and they have a son.
