“My daughter is the most beautiful woman in the world.”
Abhishek Bachchan has completed 25 years in Bollywood! He has done many roles in his film career, but nowadays he is playing more of a father figure on screen.
His upcoming film “Kalidhar Laapata” also follows the same pattern, in which there is a character who lives his entire life for his family and forgets his dreams.
“I really liked what the character wanted to do,” Abhishek told The Hollywood Reporter.
“There is never any fear of fulfilling any dream. Many of us sacrifice so much for our family that in the end, this question arises: What about me?”
From Real Life to Reel Life
Why father roles? Abhishek gives this credit to his daughter Aaradhya.
“I do not actively look for such roles, but there is definitely a common thread,” he admits.
“I give the credit for this to the world’s most beautiful woman, my daughter.”
From “Breathe” to “Ludo” and now “Kalidhar Laapata”, Abhishek connects deeply with these characters because he is experiencing the same in real life.
“I understood these emotions because I was feeling the same myself.
If Aaradhya were not in my life, I might not have felt these emotions so deeply.”
When your father is Amitabh Bachchan
When your legendary father praises you on social media, it feels cool, but Abhishek feels a little embarrassed.
“He has now become an over-emotional father,” Abhishek says, laughing.
“At the beginning of my career, I never used to express myself like this.
Now he says a lot of things – but what to do, he is 83 years old!”
Abhishek lovingly added, “People forget that apart from being the great Amitabh Bachchan, he is also a father.
When he writes so many things about me, I really feel ashamed. I don’t know how to respond!”
