Aamir Khan’s Dhaakedaar Look
Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan‘s first look in superstar Rajinikanth’s much-awaited film ‘Coolie’ was released yesterday, which created an atmosphere of excitement among the fans.
In director Lokesh Kanagaraj’s multi-starrer film, which is going to be released on 14 August, Khan will be seen in a special cameo, which is already in the news.
Meet Dahaa: Aamir’s New Raw Avatar
In the released image, Aamir is seen in the role of Dahaa, with a gritty look which includes a dark vest and smoking pipe.
This rough-looking character is a complete departure from his recent roles, which again shows his versatility.
“I didn’t even read the script.”
In a refreshingly candid interview during the promotions of ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’, Aamir revealed the surprising story behind accepting this role.
“I am a huge fan of Rajini sir… huge fan. I have a lot of love and respect for Rajini sir.
That’s why I didn’t even listen to the script,” he told Zoom in a recent interview.
“When Lokesh told me that this is Rajini sir’s movie and he wants me to do a cameo, I said, ‘Don’t worry. I am doing it. Whatever it is, I am doing it.'”

Ensemble Full of Sitaron
‘Coolie’ is packed with not just two iconic leads but also an impressive lineup of actors.
The cast includes South Indian cinema’s heavyweights Nagarjuna Akkineni, Upendra, and Sathyaraj, along with Soubin Shahir.
Pooja Hegde and Shruti Haasan will be seen as the female leads in this ambitious project.
Outside the Universe
Despite speculation, director Lokesh Kanagaraj has confirmed that ‘Coolie’ will be separate from his popular Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU), which includes hit films like ‘Kaithi,’ ‘Vikram,’ and ‘Leo.’
Talent Behind the Screen
The film also brings together an impressive technical team.
Music sensation Anirudh Ravichander is handling the soundtrack, while cinematographer Girish Gangadharan will capture the visuals.
Action sequences, which will probably be the highlight, will come from renowned stunt choreographers Anbariv.
What’s Next for Aamir?
Apart from ‘Coolie,’ Aamir’s plate is filled with ambitious projects.
He is preparing to realise his dream project ‘Mahabharata’ and will also be seen in the biopic of Indian cinema pioneer Dadasaheb Phalke, which will be directed by Rajkumar Hirani.
Perhaps the most interesting thing is that Aamir and Lokesh are set to reunite for a big-scale superhero action film that will begin production next year—which suggests that their ‘Coolie’ collaboration could perhaps be the start of a fruitful creative partnership.
